Just want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas! It seems like the older our dogs get, the more I want to get their photos taken as a family. This was the first time we took our four-legged furkids to see Santa Claus and even though they didn’t sit on his lap (can you imagine!) I just love how this picture turned out. 🙂

This weekend, we participated in our first all breed dog show, hosted by IABCA (International All Breed Canine Association) in Anaheim Hills, CA. I entered Romeo & Giulietta in the Brace Class, where two dogs of the same breed are shown together side-by-side in the show ring.
Romeo & Giulietta won Best In Show Brace, beating the Dogue de Bordeaux, Portuguese Water Dogs, Huskies and several other breeds all competing in the Brace Class.
This weekend, we participated in our first official dog show, the Golden Gate Classic hosted by ARBA (American Rare Breed Association) in Hayward, CA. Giulietta won Winners Bitch and Best of Winners and earned her first point towards an ARBA Championship! 🙂
We brought Romeo and Giulietta to their first informal dog show today, a Puppy Fun Match in Orangevale, CA. When we were at a local pet store, we met a lady in the Canidae dog food section who told us about the Puppy Fun Match and we thought it would be something fun to do with our puppies. Romeo won Best of Breed and Giulietta won Best of Opposite Sex. 🙂
Our family of five went to San Jose, CA for our very first family photo session. Poor kitty, her pupils are dilated in the photo because I’m actually holding on to her by her fur so she wouldn’t run away. 😉
Romeo and Giulietta began their private obedience training lessons today with Ryan Tulchinsky at Alert K-9 Training Center in Brentwood, CA. He also taught Bob and I how to continue their obedience training at home and things to practice before our next training lesson. Romeo and Giulietta are both so easy to train, since they are extremely food motivated! 🙂
Today, we picked up Romeo from the San Francisco International Airport! He came to us all the way from Italy and his breeder Morgan said he was a very noisy puppy in his crate during the ride to the airport. When we arrived at airport cargo, he was screaming and biting the kennel door and at first we were worried about his temperament…but we later found out that he was just angry because he hated being dirty. 🙂
Today, we picked up Giulietta from the San Francisco International Airport! She came to us all the way from Italy and poor baby girl had an overnight layover in Paris, so she was pretty dirty and hungry. Not to worry, she devoured the doggie jerky we brought for her and I gave her a sponge bath in the airport cargo bathroom. 🙂
