We decided
to repeat the Romeo x Arianna (Giulietta) breeding after observing the
overall success of the puppies from
Litter A in health, temperament and
type. This will be probably be Giulietta's last or maybe second-to-last
litter before she retires, as we prefer to breed our females no more than 3
times during their lives. They bred on May 21, 2006 and again, Giulietta had 13 puppies. The first three were formentina females and they
were delivered naturally. After waiting almost 2 hours with no fourth puppy, we
took Giulietta to the vet for an emergency Cesarean section. She had 10 more
puppies, but one female did not make it. There are a total of 10 females and 2 males.
